Motivation for Employee Engagement

 

I get asked a fair bit about motivating employees. "How can I motivate them?"

But that's the wrong question to be asking. Because as a manager, it's not your job to motivate your employees -it's your job to create a motivating environment.

Each person is an individual. Each person has their own motivation for working with you, in this organisation. 

Your role is to enhance that motivation through the environment or culture that you create. 

So your first step is to find out what motivates each person, and then bring it together through your leadership.
